Did Hillary Attend The Fox News Birthday Party?

According to this site Hillary atttended the Fox News birthday party. If thats true and the pictures are real, this does not speak well for Hillary. Fox News is a station of misinformation that deliberately misleads, in a manner reminiscent of the Pravda of the old Soviet Union.
Someone who wants to be the democratic candidate for president should not be attending events like that. A democratic candidate should promote democratic ideas and not trash TV stations that promote antidemocratic ideas.

Here is...
a very interesting post in Daily Kos. I hate to say it, but it has a lot of truths in it.

Bush Approbal Ratings: 18%? (unscientific)
I just took a poll on AOL. Look at the results above. It looks that 75% think Bush does a poor job and 8% a fair job. And there are over 145,000 people that voted in this poll. Of course this is not a scientific survey, as it was done over the internet. But I think it is important and reflective of the feelings of the majority of the country towards the Bush administration. And lets not forget that in AOL polls in the past, the majority of the voters were republicans or republican-friendly. This administration is in a downward spiral. Bush does not represent the views of the American voters anymore. He only represents a small fraction (20%) of the country.
Condoleezza Rice Fails To Gain Support in Europe
Condoleezza Rice is traveling to Europe and Turkey, trying to secure support on Iran, but it is unclear how successful she is on that. It appears that Greece failed to commit support on any sanctions on Iran. Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis was guarded when she was asked whether Greece would support sanctions. "The position of Greece is that the international community should achieve a peaceful settlement of this matter," Bakoyannis said. She said "there must be coordination within the European Union, and decisions will be taken within the framework of the Security Council. We are in the middle of a diplomatic effort, which still has tools at its disposal that allow it to be effective."
Thats the problem when you loose your credibility by starting unnecessary wars in Iraq. A nuclear Iran is a real potential threat, but our European allies do not take seriously anymore the Bush administration.
32%
The latest poll from CNN shows that the approval rating of the "decider" president George W. Bush has dropped to 32%. Congratulations to the president for the new record. How low will it go? Any suggestions? We predict that in 2 months it will drop below the 30% mark at 28%, and that at 6 monts it will drop to around 23%.So here are our predictions:
April 2006 32%
June 2006 28%
October 2006 23%
January 2007 20% (?)
For the 20% on January 2007 we are not so sure yet. It will all depend on whether there will be a watergate-style investigation by then. Lets see if we will be proven correct.

Desperation In The Joe Lieberman Camp
It seems more and more that there is desperation in the Joe Lieberman campaign. He now has some TV ads in Connecticut that reflect his defensiveness and the pressure he is under from the Ned Lamont campaign. In these ads Joe makes statements like:"I already know that some of you feel passionately against my position on Iraq."
"I respect your views. And while we probably won't change each others minds, I hope we can still have a dialogue and find common ground on all the issues where we do agree."
Nope Joe. No dialogue with you. You will be defeated in the democratic primary by Ned Lamont and you will loose your senate seat. Sorry but your judgement as a senator has been very poor and you do not deserve to be re-elected. And the democrats in Connecticut know that well.
Condoleeza Rice. She would be the best republican candidate for president in 2008
Just kidding. She has said that she will not run, but if she did she would loose pretty much to any democratic candidate. She is certainly a highly intelligent individual but she is responsible to a large degree for the Iraq disaster, as a key member of the Bush administration. Neverheless, she is certainly far smarter than her boss. Thursday, April 20, 2006
Ted Kennedy
Ted Kennedy was on Larry King and gave an inteview tonight. He was as always outstanding in his remarks. He emphasized the problem with the "climate of fear" that the Bush administration has used for political purposes. There is no question in my mind that Ted Kennedy is the single best senator in the US senate. He has been like that for over 30 years.

Bad News For Lieberman. Bush Approval At New Lows in Connecticut
This is very bad news for senator Lieberman. The last Survey USA opinion poll shows that Bush's approval rate has dropped to the lowest level ever in Connecticut. 27% while 69% disapprove. Even worse news for him, among Democrats only 7% approve of president Bush, while 91% disapprove. So, things do not look good for Joe Lieberman, a staunch supporter and admirer of the president, and strong supporter of the Iraq war. It is becoming obvious that Ned Lamont can win over Joe in the democratic primary in Connecticut and he will. Tuesday, April 18, 2006
She Is Always Cool
Jane Fonda is always cool ."I wanted to do a tour like I did during the Vietnam War, a tour of the country," Fonda said Monday on ABC's "Good Morning America."
"But then Cindy Sheehan filled in the gap, and she is better at this than I am. I carry too much baggage."

McCain Agrees With Generals Calling For Rumsfeld's Resignation
Now McCain has joined the team and he made clear that he agrees with the Generals that ask for the Resignation of Rumsfeld. There is no question that the republican party is divided and these may be the first signs of implosion. This administration has made a mess of anything it touched. It appears that now may start making a mess of the republican party itself.
Lieberman Facing Defeat. Lamont Can and Will Win.
It seems that this year is not going well for president Bush. Not only his poll numbers are dramatically down, not only is he loosing the respect of the American people, but he also keeps loosing his best allies abroad. For example, Silvio Berlusconi was just defeated in Italy. This means that the Italians will pull out of Iraq right away, like the Spaniards did after the election defeat of Jose Maria Aznar, another Bush ally. So, in Europe, Bush has been left with only one "serious" ally, Tony (B)liar, who is also substantially weakened and not well-respected among the British people. They believe that he lied to them. For good reasons I guess.
But it gets worse. It looks that Bush may loose his best ally in the democratic party. I am talking about senator Joe Lieberman from Connecticut, of course. Lieberman has been a passionate supporter of Bush as it relates to the Iraq war. He is a true believer in the foreign policy and actions of the Bush administration. Of course, he calls himself a "democrat", but this has been very convenient. It has allowed him and Bush to claim that a part of the democratic party suppports the (irrational) actions of this administration.
Well, now Joe Lieberman seems to be on the verge of a defeat in the democratic primary. The voters of Connecticut are getting ready to send him out of the senate. The vast majority of the democratic voters in Connecticut, strongly disagree with his position on Iraq, as most democrats around the country also do. Lieberman is apparently getting very worried, and it appears that he may have lost his temper, at least on one occasion. He tries to decide what would be the best strategy for him, but no matter what he does, it will not work. He even brought Barak Obama in an event to endorse him, but it backfired. Although Obama endorsed him, he also made anti-war statements that made Lieberman look bad. That helps of course Ned Lamont.
It is unfortunate to see the rapid fall of someone as we see in the Lieberman case. However, it is well deserved. Senator Lieberman will be soon sent to an early retirement. In fact, he may decide to retire in Crawford, Texas, where he will have good company.

Another Prediction that Lieberman Will Be Defeated By Lamont
Another prediction that Lieberman will be defeated by Lamont. Senator Lieberman is on his way to early retirement.
More Generals call for Rumsfeld to resign

Many Generals call for Rumsfeld to resign. So, what is he waiting for? It would be good for the country if he resigns and soon.

Arriverderci Berlusconi
Final update: The votes from abroad are in and with these votes Prodi wins also the senate (senato) with a slim majority.Congress: 340 seats for Prodi and 277 for Berlusconi. Senato: 158 for Prodi and 156 for Berlusconi. So, the Center-Left coalition wins both houses and should be able to form a goverment. Berlusconi is out. For sure. Arriverderci Berlusconi!

It Is Official: Berlusconi Defeated
Silvio Berlusconi was defeated in the Italian elections. The results show a narrow win of the center-left coalition, with 49.8% of the vote, while the center-right coalition of Berlusconi has 49.7%. Although it was a narrow victory for the left, it is highly symbolic and a sigh of relief for Italians all over the world.Berlusconi, the last ally of Bush in Europe [beyond Tony (B)liar], has been ousted. Just for the record, the 3 european prime ministers that supported the irrational start of the Iraq war by Bush were Tony (B)liar, Silvio Berlusconi, and Jose Maria Aznar of Spain. Aznar was ousted by the Spaniards in the last election, and now Berlusconi is ousted too.
So, after sending the corrupt Berlusconi to an early retirement, Italy joins back the civilized part of Europe. Viva Italia!

Elections in Italy
There are elections going on now in Italy that should be completed by tommorrow. The polls look good. Silvio Berlusconi may be on his way out. Berlusconi is an eccentric right-wing politician who has been a supporter of Bush and backed him up on the Iraq war. He is one of the handful European prime ministers [along with Tony (B)Liar] who supported Bush and the disastrous Iraq war. Unfortunately he also owns a great soccer team in Italy, AC MIlan, which I happen to like otherwise. Hopefully he will be defeated and ousted from the post of prime-minister. Romano Prodi will be hopefully the prime minister of Italy tomorrow.

Joe Lieberman and George W. Bush
That is a very funny post by Watertiger that reflects the dedication of senator Joe Lieberman to the President. Unfortunately Lieberman will not be a senator after 2006 because he will be defeated by Ned Lamont.
Cllinton-Clark in 2008
I was looking at some recent polls of primary democratic voters for the 2008 presidential election. Among several democratic candidates, Hillary Clinton is leading by far in North Eastern States. Like: Maine, Connecticut, New Hamsphire, Massachussets, and others. At this point, there is no other democrat with name recognition or support to really challenge her. This blog has, of course, endorsed Russ Feingold for a long time now, and I absolutely believe that he is by far the best candidate. However, he will face an uphill battle in 2008.
My prediction is that at the end Hillary will win the democratic nomination and that she will pick Wesley Clark as a Vice President. That will give the ticket a "tough" national defense and antiterrorism look. I also believe that they will win the general election. There is no republican ticket that could beat a Clinton-Clark ticket. McCain will be too old then and his recent affiliations with religious lunatics (Fallwell) will make him look double-faced and desperate. Guiliani would be the only serious competitor, but there is no way he can win a Republican primary. So, Hillary Clinton will end up being the president in 2008 and Wes Clark the Vice President. If you dont believe me, remember this post.

He Should Fire Himself
I think Steve Clemmons is right: President Bush should fire himself after Scooter Libby's disclosures. If he does not do that, there should be some honorable republicans in the congress and senate that would work together with democrats to impeach this president. There should be zero tolerance for corruption and lies at the presidential level.
That should be enough
That should be enough for an independent prosecutor to investigate president Bush and vice president Cheney. It sounds more and more that Bush should be impeached. It is becoming more and more clear that his actions were far worse than the actions of Nixon during Watergate.
Lamont Rocking The Boat
The more I hear about him, the more I like Ned Lamont. It appears that he can energize Connecticut voters and he has some really good ideas.
As the New Haven Independent newspaper reports, his campaign has emerged as a serious threat to Lieberman. He recently called for Universal Health Care and campaign finance reform. He also supported John Kerry's call Wednesday for the U.S. to set a deadline for pulling out of Iraq.
I really like what he said: "We are gonna rock the boat, because the boat needs rockin'!". He is absolutely right. The boat needs rockin and some pseudo-democrats like Lieberman need to be pushed out. Lamont is not just a better alternative to Lieberman. He is a great candidate and will be a great senator.

A Greek Reverse Watergate
It appears that Watergate-like situations occur in Europe as well. Like this case in Greece . The remarkable thing in that case is that someone had tapped the phones of the prime minister of Greece and other high-ranking officials, but noone knows who that is.Can you imagine if that happened here? Like if someone tapped the phones of Bush but remained unknown? The whole thing with that "Greek Reverse Watergate" is crazy.

Does Lieberman want to be a democrat? Yes or No?
This is remarkable . Jane from Firedoglake makes a simple and important point: "The DSCC needs to demand that Joe Lieberman commit to the party or cut him off. No money, no polling, nada."
She is absolutely right. It will be ridiculous for the Democratic Party to give money to someone who considers running as an independent if he is defeated in the democratic primary. If Lieberman is a democrat, he should simply respect the results of the democratic primary. So, if he is defeated by Lamont, he should support Lamont against whoever the republican candidate may be. But it is becoming more and more obvious that Lieberman could care less about the democratic party. So, the question is: Does Lieberman want to be a democrat? Yes or No? If he can not commit so, the democratic party should not give him a penny anymore.

The Ned Lamont Campaign is Doing Great

The Ned Lamont campaign is going great. Not only they reached their original goal of 3,000 donors, but they surpassed it big-time and they are now at 4,000! Well, I am one of them. Ned Lamont will be the next democratic senator from Connecticut.

The Flip-Flop McCain
Watching John McCain on "Meet the Press" this morning was kind of sad. This guy has nothing to do with old John McCain who stood up to political interests and was a real straight-talker. The current McCain is an average politician who is trying desperately to win votes. When Tim Russert confronted him with the Jerry Falwell issue, he essentially lost his voice. Of course, he could not explain how he can be now "friendly" with that certified lunatic who has made unbelievably discriminating and bizzare statements in the past. And to only think that McCain in the past had called Robertson and Falwell agents of intolerance. And now he tries to find ways to reverse this impression.
Interestingly, McCain also said that he did voted to support the Bush tax cuts that strongly opposed before, because the had already passed and were in effect. What??? It was almost like saying "I voted for the tax cuts, after I voted against them". Unfortunately, the old McCain has disappeared. The new McCain is not any better than Bush. The real tragedy is that McCain has become worse of a flip-flopper than Kerry was in 2004.
Katherine Harris
That's kind of funny. Katherine Harris' U.S. Senate campaign lost what was left of its core team when a top adviser, campaign manager, and communications director resigned this weekend.Yes, that is the same person who "certified" the "victory" of Bush in Florida in 2000. And yes, that is the election that in reality was won by Al Gore who should have been the president for the last 6 years.
Anyway, it seems that her attempt to make it in the senate will not work. Too bad. She would have been fun to have in the US senate.

The Ned Lamont Campaign Gains Momentum
The Ned Lamont campaign gains momentum. There are clearly many donors nationally that have contributed to the campaign of Lamont and the number it is expected to rise. The dramatic increase in contributions for the campaign of Lamont can be seen here.As we have said before, Ned Lamont can win and become the next senator from Connecticut. He is clearly the best candidate. But it will take a national campaign for him to win. This race is highly symbolic and will have long lasting effects on the identity of the democratic party. The increasing momentum in the campaign of Ned Lamont is the first step towards victory in November.
Monarchy
I like what Feingold said...quote:"If the President’s legal theory, which is shared by some of our witnesses today, is correct, then FISA is a dead letter, all of the supposed protections for civil liberties contained in the reauthorization of the Patriot Act that we just passed are a cruel hoax, and any future legislation we might pass regarding surveillance or national security is a waste of time and a charade. Under this theory, we no longer have a constitutional system consisting of three co-equal branches of government, we have a monarchy."
Now, if Bush is the new King, how should he be named? Hmm... George the second? or George the great? or what?
