The Rule of Law and the Bush Administration

The American Civil Liberties Union released newly obtained documents today showing that senior Defense Department officials approved aggressive interrogation techniques that Federal Bureau of Investigation agents deemed abusive, ineffective and unlawful.

So, here is a simple question. What happened to the rule of law? We are democracy and the Bush administration can not be operating in any way they want. There is no question that for the good of the country, the democrats need to win back the congress. Some key members of the Bush administration deserve to be impeached and/or indicted, but this will never happen with a republican congress.
