IL-10: Mark Kirk's problems

It seems that Mark Kirk's problems are not going away. This article in the Philadelphia Jewish Voice summarizes a major issue that occured with a staffer of Kirk's campaign. A staffer for Mark Kirk attempted to force Robert Schrayer, President of Tel Aviv University's American Council to drop his support for Dan Seals. And she threatened him. The threat was that supporting Dan Seals "can have a very bad effect on the (Tel Aviv) university." And something like "Revenge is a dish best served cold."

So, where is this staffer now? She still works for Kirk!!! Despite condemning her behavior and actions, Mark Kirk did not fire her. I think this incident alone may cost Kirk the election.

But the biggest problem of Kirk is not his staffer. It is George W. Bush. Kirk's willingness to act as a "rubber stamp" for the Bush administration, will cost him big-time next Tuesday. Kirk has been a reliable supporter of Bush, and he still supports Bush on Iraq. Yes, you read correctly. Kirk still supports the failed policies of Bush and the disastrous Iraq war.

Mark Kirk is now behind in the polls and it is likely that he will be defeated by democrat Dan Seals, who is supported by Barak Obama. Dan Seals has been an especially strong and impressive candidate. IL-10 will likely go democratic.
