Fox News In Trouble

Bill O'Reilly is not a particularly intelligent individual. But his recent dishonest attacks on Daily Kos were idiotic. Why? Because the are backfiring big time. Already, after pressure from Daily Kos readers Lowe pulled out commercials from the O'Reilly factor in Fox News and made it clear that "The O'Reilly Factor does not meet Lowe's advertising guidelines, and the company's advertising will no longer appear during the program."

Now, Move On got into it and they are asking thousands of supporters to monitor who is advertising on Fox News locally. The idea is that after small businesses are identified, thousands of phone calls and letters will push the businesses to pull out their commercials from Fox. I really love the idea....It is about time that Fox News realizes that they can not openly lie, deceive and expect to be called "fair and balanced". I dont think they should be silenced, but they should formally declare themselves for what they are: A far- right wing, pro-republican station with a clear political agenda. Air America does not pretend to be objective, they make clear that they represent liberal ideas. So, Fox News should also make clear that they are not independent news, but the represent they interests of far-right wingnuts and extremists.

I live in a very republican area, and in my fitness club they always show Fox News. So, I watch Fox News, especially Bill O'Reilly, almost daily. I have watched him live comparing Daily Kos to Nazis, KKK, fascists, Mussolini, and Al Capone!!! Well it is kind of funny, but somehow I felt that he was calling me names, as I am a member of Daily Kos and also post diaries there. In fact, being from Chicago, I felt that the "Al Capone" naming was special for me :). What can I say? I think O'Reilly is losing it.
