Remarkable...

Ayad Allawi, a secular Shiite Muslim, told the London newspaper The Observer that fellow Shiites are responsible for death squads and secret torture centers and that the brutality by elements of Iraqi security forces rivals that of Saddam's secret police.

Of course that could be a rumor or someone saying crazy things, except that Ayad Allawi was until recently the prime minister of Iraq and a strong ally of the Bush administration. It seems more and more that Iraq is even more messy and chaotic than we can imagine. This is really remarkable.
