A new May 1968?

Will May of 2006 prove to be a new "May 1968" for France? The clashes between demonstrators and police that have been occuring the last few days are in a way reminiscent of France in 1968.

Hopefully things will calm down. Somehow though, I believe that things will get worse. It is hard to predict what will happen. It will be certainly a huge setback for Europe if things escalate and run out of control as in May of 1968.
