Serious Damage

This post in Daily Kos and this original post to which Daily Kos links to reflect some of the serious (yes very serious) damage the Bush administration is causing to the country.

What I dont understand is why dont the democrats talk about it more. This should be one of the top issues in their agenda. Of course, it is understandable that they have a lot of other things to talk about. But the side-effects of these actions of the administration, referred in those posts, are apparently causing structural damage in that area and they will have long lasting effects.
