Cheney Gives Democracy Lessons

Dick Cheney is a remarkable man. He now decided to give democracy lessons to the Russians. Unbelievable. The guy who may well be the brain behind the Plamegate and the wiretapping of US citizens believes he has the moral authority to teach democracy lessons to others.

Dont take me wrong. I think Russia is slipping away from democracy towards an autocratic regime. But Dick Cheney should be the last to blame them for that. He and his "boss" (GWB) have been working on establishing an autocratic regime here. The whole thing is called hypocricy.

But what he said about oil to the Russians was even more amazing: "No legitimate interest is served when oil and gas become tools of intimidation or blackmail, either by supply manipulation or attempts to monopolize transportation" Cheney said. Yeah, I guess it is only OK when it is done by big corporations whose CEO was Cheney himself. Any other ones are immoral. Give me a break Mr. VP.
