Is the Clinton Campaign Losing Touch with Reality?

Why would they let a Lieberman supporter and apologist represent Hillary's positions on CNN? I am talking about Lanny Davis. Yes, the same Lanny Davis who aggressively fought to re-elect Joe Lieberman as an "independent" in Connecticut against democrat Ned Lamont. The same Lanny Davis who has talked in the past about the "hate of the left" against George Bush. The same Lanny Davis who assured us that Joe Lieberman is a liberal committed to progressive principles. What is going on? Is Hillary's campaign so disorganized or are they so desperate that they would let figures like Lanny Davis lose on CNN to attack Obama?

I am an Obama supporter and I want him to win. I also plan to vote for Hillary if she ends up being the nominee. But watching today on CNN Lanny Davis attacking viciously Barack Obama made me feel nauseous. It reminded how the same person was strongly defending Joe Lieberman in a debate (against Jim Dean from DFA) on Meet the Press about 2 years ago. It reminded me how Lanny Davis was praising Joe Lieberman and kept emphasizing what a great democrat Lieberman was.

But what really irritated me today, was one question that Lanny Davis kept raising with a very aggressive tone of voice. He was asking if there is an accomplishment of Barack Obama that Blitzer could point out. Hello? There are very many accomplishments of Barack. But what are accomplishments of Lanny Davis? Helping to elect Joe Lieberman as an "independent"? Something that ultimately translated in the current support of Lieberman for the McCain campaign? Who is Lanny Davis to talk about accomplishments of democrats.

The Clinton campaign seems to be so disorganized and has let rigt-wingers, like Lanny Davis, speak on their behalf. Supporters of Joe Lieberman, should be kept miles away from the campaign. Instead they arrear on CNN as attack dogs against Obama. That speaks very poorly about the Clinton campaign. That alone is a reason not to vote for Hillary in the democratic primaries.

In the mean time, Obama has shown that he is an amazing executive and organizer. He has built an amazing campaign and very powerful movement. He deserves to win the election because everything points that he will be a better executive for the country. A better president.
