Felix Mendelssohn

Yesterday was the birthday of Felix Mendelssohn . One of the greatest composers of all times (at least in my opinion). He was born in Hamburg, on February 3rd, 1809, the son of Leah Salomon, and Abraham Mendelssohn, a wealthy banker, and the grandson of Jewish rabbi and philosopher Moses Mendelssohn. He wrote 5 great symphonies, but his most famous work was the overture to Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream".
