Lamont - Lieberman Poll. Good news for Lamont.

There is recent Rasmussen poll on the upcoming Lamont-Lieberman race in Connecticut. Although at this time Lieberman is leading the race due to name recognition, the news are very good for Ned Lamont. With only very few people knowing him, he is only 10 points behind Lieberman among democrats.

That means that Lamont has a real good chance to surpass Lieberman and be the democratic candidate. Can you imagine what will happen if MoveOn decides to openly support Lamont, as it seems they will? It should be also pointed out that Lieberman can NOT run as an independent in Connecticut if he looses the democratic primary. So, if Lamont wins the democratic primary he is essentialy assured the senate seat.

Lamont is on his way to the Senate and Lieberman is on his way to retirement in Crawford, Texas. There Lieberman will have a lot of time in his retirement to play a lot of golf with the man he admires so much, George W. Bush.

Here is the site to support Ned Lamont.

UPDATE 8/5/2006. HERE YOU CAN SEE ALL AVAILABLE POLLS ON THE RACE (LAST 8/4/06). LAMONT IS CLEARLY LEADING NOW IN THE POLLS.
