Another Candidate for the Senate Seat of Lieberman

A moderate republican has just announced that he will enter the race in Connecticut for Lieberman's seat. His name is Alan R. Schlesinger. Schlesinger said that under one scenario, liberals, who normally turn out in higher numbers in such primaries, could give Lamont a victory over Lieberman, which automatically would improve Schlesinger's chances of winning in November.

I think that Lamont will win both the democratic primary and the senate seat. But if for some reason it ends up being Lieberman versus a moderate republican, I will support the moderate reprublican, as far as he is not a strong Bush supporter as Lieberman is. In fact, a moderate reasonable republican would be much better than Lieberman. Lieberman, like Zell Miller, pretend to be "democrats" when in reality they are right-wing hawks and they are certainly to the right of several republicans.
