Primary Elections
Today I went to vote in the primary elections in my state. I was planning to vote in the democratic primary, as I always do. Unfortunately, when I got there I realized that I am not registered to vote!!! Why? because we moved to a new house a few blocks from our old one 2 months ago. Apparently you can only vote with your old registration if it is within one month after the move. So I had to leave the polling station without casting my vote...
I am not happy about it, because I really wanted to vote for the democratic challenger of the democratic governor of my state. I can not stand this governor. Now, without my vote he is assured to be re-elected :) Also a couple of real liberal candidates for other offices lost a valuable vote. The good news is that I have a lot of time until November to register under my new address and make sure I vote in the upcoming historic election in which we will take back the congress and the senate.
