It Is Official: Berlusconi Defeated

Silvio Berlusconi was defeated in the Italian elections. The results show a narrow win of the center-left coalition, with 49.8% of the vote, while the center-right coalition of Berlusconi has 49.7%. Although it was a narrow victory for the left, it is highly symbolic and a sigh of relief for Italians all over the world.

Berlusconi, the last ally of Bush in Europe [beyond Tony (B)liar], has been ousted. Just for the record, the 3 european prime ministers that supported the irrational start of the Iraq war by Bush were Tony (B)liar, Silvio Berlusconi, and Jose Maria Aznar of Spain. Aznar was ousted by the Spaniards in the last election, and now Berlusconi is ousted too.

So, after sending the corrupt Berlusconi to an early retirement, Italy joins back the civilized part of Europe. Viva Italia!
