New Lieberman-Lamont Poll. Lamont leads 51-47%

As we had predicted, it is now obvious that Ned Lamont will win easily the democratic primary in Connecticut. The last poll from Quinnipiac among likely voters in the Democratic Primary shows:

Lamont 51%
Lieberman 47%

We predict that the lead of Lamont will become bigger by August. Our prediction is that on election day Lamont will get 60-70% of the votes in the primary, with Lieberman getting 30-35%. The game is over. Lieberman will lose his senate seat.

Of course, in his desperation, Lieberman tries to get any high profile democrat possible to come to support him. They have now announced that Bill Clinton will campaign for him on Monday. Will see if this happens or not. Dont forget that senator Biden "missed the train" the last moment did not show up in Lieberman's campaign event, despite the announements by the Lieberman campaign.

In any case, even if Clinton goes to campaign for Joe, it does not matter. The voters have to decide between Lamont and Lieberman, and not between Lieberman and Clinton. The campaign of Lieberman is imploding and he will lose no matter what. Even if the Pope shows up to campaign for Joe in CT, Lamont would still win. The voters of Connecticut simply do not want Lieberman as their senator anymore. They had enough of him.
