Jane Fonda and Anti-War Protests

The reaction of the far right to Jane Fonda's presence in the DC protest was vitriolic. They went 30-40 years back in time and, somehow, blamed her for everything bad in this country. Of course, that is ridiculous. Jane Fonda is someone who fought all her life for freedom and stoop up for her principles. And she has the courage and the integrity to stand up once again for peace, against the "Bush regime" this time.

The people who really care about the troops are the ones who want to save their lifes. The ones who do not want them to die unnecessarily. Jane Fonda cares about the troops much more than the "gang of 6". Interestingly, and in sharp contrast with the Vietnam era, many more people understand that now. The presense of many veterans of the Iraq war in the massive Washington DC protest is one of many indications of that.
