Blaming his grilfriend...

When someone violates ethics rules and is about to be fired from his job as director of the world bank and blames his girlfriend for that (!!!!!), then something is wrong with that person. Well, that is exactly how Wolfowitz is defending himself. He blames the whole thing to the "anger of his girlfriend".

That is, of course, pathetic and reflects lack of basic integrity. But how could one expect better from someone like Wolfowitz? Maybe after Wolfowitz is officially fired, his friend Cheney would find him a job in Haliburton and a new girlfriend. Why not?
