Republican Revolt
Many republican senators, to their credit, decided to block the shameful Dubai deal. And how did the president respond? He said that he will veto (!) any bill to stop the port take overover.
To use a favorite line of his (that the president used to discredit Kerry in the 2004 elections), it appears that the president has a pre-911 mentality. He appears to forget that we are at war, the war against terror. Usually in wars, you dont want your enemies (or the good friends of your enemies) to have access to the major ports of your country.
The president has never vetoed a bill so far. And now he threatens to veto a bi-partisan bill by both republicans and democrats, aimed to protect the country. This administration is worse for the country than I even had thought previously.
