A "personal friend" of Joe Lieberman

I lost any respect for Joe Biden. Why? How could you respect a democratic senator who says that he can not campaign against Lieberman because he is a "close personal friend," and that that his son and Lieberman's son attended Yale together, and that his daughter-in-law was the matron of honor at Lieberman's son's wedding? What kind of ideological and political criteria are these?

Of course he says that he backs Lamont, but thats not enough. The country needs people that can stand above "friendships" and fight for principles and ideals. Apparently, Joe Biden is not one of them.
