Despicable Attacks

Earlier this evening I was watching Fox News (dont ask me why). Bill O'Reilly had invited a "moral expert" to discuss the attacks of Limbaugh on Michael Fox. That woman, called Sandy Rios defended Limbaugh and said that Michael J. Fox was misleading the country with his ads. Why? Because embryonic stem cell research is not really promising, and Jim Talent in Missouri supports adult stem cell research. She kept saying how the radical wingnuts really support stem cell research, because they support adult stem cell research. And she essentially made the point that embryonic stem cell research has nothing to offer. That woman is either completely illiterate or malicious, or both. And Fox News gives credibility to bizzare wingnut statements and theories like that, by allowing illiterate fanatics to talk about it without anyone challenging them.
We are witnessing a fundamentalist religious movement that behaves like its predecessors in the medieval times in Europe. These guys should not be allowed to gain more power. Any vote for the republicans (with few exceptions) gives them more power. Thats why rational republicans must vote democratic in this election. It is critical for the future of science, democracy, and the country.
