Light-Weight
I had enough of this "Barak Obama for president" business. I have no idea why anyone would think that Barak Obama would make a good president. Don't take me wrong, Obama is from my state, I have voted for him, and I think he is a solid good senator. But thats it. Nothing more to suggest that he deserves to be the democratic presidential nominee in 2008.
I have to also admit that I am, in a way, disappointed by him. He has failed to take a strong stance on anything, and he likes to gravitate in the "center" and play the "acceptable to everyone" role. I am also not happy that he went and campaigned for Lieberman in Connecticut, while he refused to go and campaign for Ned Lamont when it mattered last month. There are also some recent events that raise questions about his judgment. In summary, I believe Barak Obama is a light weight and should not be a serious contender for the presidency in 2008. If thats the best the democratic party can do for 2008, we are in serious trouble.
Update: Tim Tagaris from the Ned Lamont campaign just posted a diary in Daily Kos talking about what happened in that campaign and how Lamont lost to Lieberman. He mentions there that Obama was THE biggest disappointment. I am not surprised. He is most definitely a light-weight. And reading that diary, I dont think I like Obama at all anymore.
