Ralph Nader

Ok, Ralph Nader is running with the Green party for president this year. Here is his site. Many are nervous that he could have an impact in the election. The reality is that he will not. In 2004 he had absolutely no impact and noone said that Kerry lost the election because of him. In 2000, of course he did. But in any case Gore still won Florida, but the election was simply stolen and Bush junior was installed.

So, the fact that Bush was installed as president in 2000 was not Nader's fault. And in 2004, he certainly did not hurt the democratic party.

I will obviously not support him, but I think that Nader is a good guy and he makes excellent points. I am glad he is running. We need more parties in the system. The election this year will go to the democrats anyway, and, hopefully, they will be able to repair the massive damage caused by Bush junior and the Bush-Cheney regime to the country.
