That's why the candidate of the extreme right and the favorite senator of Rove and Cheney should be defeated. I think this summarizes well the whole issue and provides an explanation on why many of us are so focused on this race.

Personally, I think that it is far more important for the democratic party to get rid of "democrats" who support the extreme right and undermine it from the inside, than to win back the senate at this time.
