Connecticut Senate Debate. Lamont delivers a knockout. Lieberman loses badly.

I watched every second of the Connecticut senate debate tonight. This was not simply a victory for Lamont. It was a catastrophy for Lieberman. Lamont looked like a senator, while Lieberman looked like someone who begs to retire.

A large portion of the debate was focused on Iraq and that was good news for Lamont. Lieberman looked like a flip-floper, but at the end had to essentially acknoweledge that he is a Bush supporter as it relates to Iraq. Lieberman looked so bad in this debate that it makes you wonder how was this guy ever elected senator.

That was most definitely a knockout. Lamont is on his way to Washington. And I dont care what old polls show. On November 7 Ned Lamont will win and will be elected senator in Connecticut.
